In this event we want to focus on the characterization of the radiation source. All possible sources are considered: both the sources of ionizing radiation (sealed and non-sealed, dispersed in the environment, apparatus and devices, etc.) and those of non-ionizing radiation, from low and very low frequencies to optical radiation and UV.
The idea arises from the assumption that a precise characterization of the source, a condition required for good radiation protection, is often, under real conditions, very problematic and sometimes requires difficult assumptions based on hypotheses and models.
